Calling all emerging journalists, photographers, videographers and bloggers –
Want to boost your resume while gaining experience in new media publishing? Do you enjoy flexible hours and creative control? Having your work viewed by thousands of college students a month?
The Horn is currently looking for solid writers, multimedia gurus, and big personalities to contribute to our ever-growing publication. If you’re interested in developing your written or visual journalistic skills, our relaxed, flexible environment is the perfect place for you.
The ideal candidate should be responsible, passionate, and possess strong writing and/or multimedia abilities. UT enrollment and Journalism majors are preferred, but not required. Previous experience and familiarity with AP style are a huge plus.
Perks include scheduling your own hours, getting paid to do what you love, receiving press passes for popular concerts and events, and networking with businesses around Austin, other writers, and staff - just to name a few. Our contributors have gone on to work for ESPN, NYLON magazine, Women’s Wear Daily, and more.
