Letter From the Editor: 2012 for The Horn

An introduction from The Horn's new Editor-in-Chief, Amanda Kwong, as well as changes to expect ... head inside for details.

Dear Horn Readers,

Welcome back from break and cheers to 2012! Hopefully you all have had a great first week (or weekend, at least) and are ready to take on the Spring semester.

For starters, I'd like to thank Tiffany for her great mentorship and kind words. As she mentioned, my name is Amanda Kwong and I am the new Editor-in-Chief of the Horn. I'm also currently a senior at UT majoring in Management, from Dallas, and a Spring lifestyle contributor for College Fashion. Prior to assuming the EIC position, I contributed to The Horn's Lifestyle and News content. I'm honored to have the opportunity to see things from the other side, and work with such a fantastic group of staff and writers.

This year, I'm excited to announce more changes to expect from us. On top of starting up the Around the Horn blog again, here are some updates on what we plan to roll out very soon:

- The Horn newsstands around West Campus
- An official sponsorship of the UT Student Organization, Texas New Media
- Another revamping of our webpage (bonus points for those who have spotted one difference already ...)
- Special Giveaways

That's just the tip of the iceberg, so be sure to keep checking back for more behind-the-scenes action. And if you've got something to say (feedback, a pitch, your two cents on life, the works) - feel free to email me at editor@readthehorn.com. I'm all ears.

Thanks for stopping by, your support is appreciated!

Best,

Amanda
