Every Monday is Film and a 40 night at The Eastern. They’ll have one theme, two movies, and $3 40’s. The first movie starts at 8 p.m. Free popcorn will be provided.

Tuesday

For just $3 you can get your weekly fix of grime and gore at Alamo Drafthouse’s weekly Terror Tuesday. This week watch “976-EVIL” in 35mm film at the Ritz location. The movie starts at 11 p.m.

Wednesday

If you’ve been craving some sushi, but don’t want to break the bank then look no further than Imperia. Every Wednesday their sushi is 2-for-1 from 4:45 p.m. to 7 p.m. They also have discounted lounge items available at the lounge and bar.

Thursday

Zilker Theatre Productions presents “The Sound of Music” as the 54th Annual Zilker Summer Musical. This is the last week to catch the act, so be sure to make it to Beverly S. Sheffield Zilker Hillside Theatre before Sunday. The show is at dusk or approximately 8:30 p.m. Admission is free, but parking is $3.

Saturday

We all watched that episode of “Community” where Jeff and Shirley battle over foosball and wished we had mad skills like them. Well this weekend you can show off at Kung Fu Saloon for their final round of the Kung Fu Summer Games. This week the showdown includes skee ball and foosball. Registration starts at 2 p.m. Win prizes and support the Special Olympics of Central Texas.

Sunday

Every Sunday in August, Emo’s East and Beauty Ballroom are bringing you Bar Room Bingo. Their own version of bingo with a bit of trivia is free to play and will have prizes like concert tickets and free drinks. It will be held at 8 p.m. at the Beauty Ballroom and is 21+ only.
