Weird Wednesday fans and grade-F movie aficionados, have we got a winner this week. “Voodoo Black Exorcist” is the 1974 tale of angry mummies on a Caribbean pleasure cruise, with a whopping average rating of 2.5 out of 10 on IMDB. Reviewers warn of terrible special effects, bad dubbing, buxom flame-swallowing exotic dancers, and campy red-tinted flashbacks, and the Alamo description advises that “there are a lot of things that are historically inaccurate, absurd and just plain Wrong with this movie.” But seriously: what else do you have to do on a Wednesday night? Tickets are $3, and the show starts at 9:45 p.m. at the Alamo Drafthouse Ritz (320 E. Sixth St.)
Thursday, Sept. 27
Boy + Kite, Mirror Travel, and the Asteroid Shop are playing at the Mohawk (912 Red River St.) Tickets are only $6 for those over 21 ($8 if you're under) and the show starts at 9 p.m.
