College has often been described as the institution that prepares you for the "real world," and FranklinCovey's 5 Choices to Extraordinary Productivity, hopes to prove that. Callaborating with The University of Texas at Austin's Professional Development Center (PDC), FranklinCovey, a global leader in professional consulting and training, will be offering a series of classes that will include topics such as, leadership, productivity and developing greater workplace effectiveness.
Offered through the PDC, the two-day course begins on March 20, and ends the following day.
"The Professional Development Center is committed to offering the very best professional training available anywhere in Texas or in the world," states Liliya Spinazzola, director of the PDC. "We are very proud to work with FranklinCovey to offer exceptional training resources to our clients."
Explained on the PDC's website, the course is meant to increase a person's ability to "achieve life's most important outcomes," and to "pay attention to the most important things amidst the distractions." Through five choices, the class hopes that students will come out having a better understanding of how to fully take advantage of their time and energy. One problem that the course touches on is using technology to build a reliable personal information system.
Lastly, the course wants students to "fuel their fire." Students who participate will create a plan that will "ignite their body's mental, physical, emotional and spiritual energy." The class has plenty to offer, and considering the stresses college can cause at times, the course's main intent is to channel that energy, and use it to your benefit.
Registration for the course is now available on the PDC Website. All FranklinCovey programs available through PDC will be presented at the Thompson Conference Center on the university campus.
