Failure to Identify / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT Police Officer observed a female student sitting on a brick wall providing alcohol enriched compost to the local landscape. The female student was accompanied by several other students. During the investigation, the officers detected very strong odors of alcohol on the breaths of the students. Most of the students provided the officers with their currently issued State ID cards and the officers learned they were all under the legal age of 21. One student decided to inform the officers that she did not have an ID on her and provided the officers with a false name and date of birth. After several attempts in trying to locate a matching name and date of birth the officer allowed the student one more opportunity to provide her with a correct name and date of birth. Again nothing was found in the system. All of the students that were under the legal of 21 were issued court appearance citations for Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor and released. The student who refused to identify herself was taken into custody for Failure to Identify and transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 10-30-11, at 2:05 AM.
