Public Intoxication: A UT student was observed swaying past a UT Police Officer with a flask sticking out of his rear pocket. The flask contained a small amount of a clear liquid that the officer quickly identified as alcohol. During the investigation, the student spoke with a thick tongued accent that caused his speech to be slurred. He informed the officer that he had indeed been drinking earlier in the day, but had run out. The student removed the flask from his pocket so show the officer that it was now empty. The student was taken into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 10-29-11, at 8:11 PM.
