Public Intoxication / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT staff member reported a UT student was having an extreme physical reaction to the over consumption of alcohol. During the investigation, the officers located a UT student with her head inside a trashcan. The officers detected a very strong odor of alcohol on the student’s breath and noted other signs of intoxication. The student informed the officers that she had been drinking, a fact that was not hard to prove. She told the officers that she had been drinking the “standard,” 2 buttery nipples, shots of Patron and a Jack and Sprite. The officers learned the student was under the legal age of 21 and issued her a court appearance citation for Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor. A sober friend happened to be walking by and took care, custody and control of her intoxicated friend. Charges for Public Intoxication are pending. Occurred on: 12-02-11, at 2:56 AM.
