Possession of Marijuana: A UT staff member detected a very strong odor of burning marijuana inside a 2nd floor dormitory room. During the investigation, the officers confirmed the existing odor of burned marijuana coming from the same room. The officers were invited into the room by the resident. Once inside the room, the officers observed in plain view a small stash of a green leafy substance. A substance the officers quickly recognized as marijuana. Sitting next to the stash of marijuana was a vaporizer. The student informed the officers he uses the vaporizer to get rid of the marijuana odor when he smokes. The student was issued a court appearance citation for Possession of Marijuana. Occurred on: 2-02-12, at 8:33 PM.
