f you’ve heard the Rhode Island-based duo known as Brown Bird you may expect the people behind the music to be the type of dark and mysterious characters one might encounter in an 1800's seaport saloon. Band members and lovers David Lamb and MorganEve Swain have been building a steady following with their unique style of music that blends influences of blues, psych-rock, gypsy and Middle Eastern sounds with lyrics that often come across as ominous and eerie. Brown Bird’s music recalls the past while at the same time offering something completely new and different from other acts making acoustic-based music these days.

Saveur Seeking does SXSW

South by Southwest is right around the corner and all that partying wouldn't be complete without some great food. Saveur Seeking gives you 5 recommendations for delicious food right in the middle of all the SXSW action.

With South by Southwest a week away things are about to crazy here in Austin. With all that partying you gotta feed yourself to stay energized. Lines may be a little longer but SXSW is a great time to try out some of Austin’s best eateries, many of which happen to be located in the downtown area right in the middle of all the action. If you’re from out of town or even if you’re a local and looking for some delicious places to eat Saveur Seeking is here to help with this list of food spots:

1. Regal Ravioli
Regal serves up amazing ravioli made completely by hand using local ingredients. There’s lots of tasty dishes to choose from on this menu and the service is excellent too. Located at East 6th Street and Comal, Regal Ravioli is not only one of my favorite trailers in Austin, but also has some of the best Italian food I’ve had in this town! Visit their WEBSITE for the menu, hours, and more.

2. Love Balls Bus
Takoyaki is the most popular Japanese street food and one of the only places to get it is at the Love Balls Bus. These little balls of deliciousness are a wonderful snack when drinking lots of booze, so stop by the East Side Drive-In and grab some Love Balls. Visit their WEBSITE for the menu, hours, and more!

3. Cazamance Café
On East Cesar Chavez lies a secret garden filled with delight. The delight I speak of is Cazamance Café. With a worldly menu of locally sourced gourmet food Cazamance Café is incredibly good. Also, the location may be one of the most beautiful spaces I’ve ever seen a food trailer. Word on the street is that some serious SXSW parties will be going down here with lots of food, booze, and bands. Check out their Facebook for info!

4. Way South Philly
SXSW brings in people from all over the world, and if you’re an east coaster you can take comfort knowing that some of the best and most authentic Philly cheese steaks are served up at Way South Philly on E. 6th Street. The cheese steak reigns supreme in the realm of foods that go well with copious amounts of alcohol. For more info check out Way South Philly's Facebook.

5. Via 313 Detroit Style Pizza
Speaking of foods that compliment drinking…check out Via 313 across the street from Way South Philly where they dish out this unique style of pizza. You will not be disappointed. Via 313 is located at 1111 E. 6th St. in front of the Violet Crown Social Club. Visit their WEBSITE for the menu, hours, and more!

All of these trailers are located within walking distance from downtown Austin. Happy SXSW y'all!
