Your last week of summer is here. Have a blast taking it back to the 80's and 90's with a MJ party, a TGIF TV party and live 80's music.
If you haven’t gone down to the lake and tried paddleboarding this summer, then you’ve been missing out. FunFunFun Fest and Do512 have joined up with The Expedition School to bring you 2 for 1 paddleboard lessons every Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. the whole month of August. Just mention “Fun Fun Fun” or “Do512” to get the deal.
The Highball is hosting a Mystery Sing-A-Long at 7:30 p.m. for free. If you want to figure out the theme ahead of time follow them on twitter. No matter what the songs, you’re sure to have a good time and then you can stick around for Tittie Bingo at 10 p.m.
We know you miss the 90’s, so Alamo Drafthouse Lake Creek is putting on a TGIF Retro TV Viewing party to cure your nostalgia. Starting at 7 p.m. they’ll play the shows just like they did on ABC with “Perfect Strangers,” “Family Matters,” “Step by Step,” “Full House,” and “Boy Meets World” lighting up the screen. Get your tickets now at their website.
You’re missing out on a great view and date destination if you’ve never eaten dinner at The Oasis at sunset while overlooking Lake Travis. This Thursday at 7:30 p.m. you have an extra reason to go because they’ll have put on live music from the 80’s by Red Alert.
We’re sending you back to The Highball for Monster Big Band, a collections of some of Austin’s finest Jazz musicians. Kickback at the free even with some of their drink specials and enjoy the sounds.
Pay tribute to the king of pop by celebrating his birthday in style. Body Rock and Knuckle Rumbler are bringing you the biggest Michael Jackson birthday bash you’ve ever seen. Gear up in your best MJ inspired outfit and get ready to rock the dance floor. The party is at Hotel Vegas and starts at 9:30 p.m. RSVP at this site and cover will only be $3.
You have until September 1st to check out the Toy Joy Artshow, hanging at Tom’s Tabooley. You might have missed the opening party, but the art is truly something you’ll want to see. The show is sponsored by Toy Joy, so you know it’s full of Austin’s crazy creativity.
