A University of Texas baseball player was arrested over the weekend and has been charged with evading arrest and possession of marijuana, according to the Statesman.
Texas Department of Public Safety officers arrested Jordan Etier, a senior second baseman for the Longhorns, on Saturday afternoon. The officers said he urinated in public and ran once he was approached, but first dropped about two-thirds of an ounce of marijuana, according to arrest affidavits.
Etier was held in Travis County jail Sunday afternoon at $2,000 bail. He was not seen as a game Sunday against Houston, according to the Statesman.
On Monday, Texas dismissed Jordan Etier from its baseball team.
