Possession of Marijuana: A UT staff member detected the odor of burning marijuana coming from a 4th floor dormitory room and notified the UT Police. The responding officers also detected the odor of burning marijuana coming from the same room. Prior to knocking on the door, the officers heard the voices of several males talking inside the room. After knocking on the door several times, the occupants of the room opened the door. The officers detected a stronger odor of burned marijuana inside the room.

Public Intoxication / Criminal Trespass Warning: A UT staff member reported a non-UT subject had stumbled into and bounced off of the glass exterior doors. The subject entered the building and stumbled into a work of art located on the 2nd floor. The staff member stated the subject appeared to be intoxicated. The responding officers located the subject passed out inside a 2nd floor lounge. The officers detected a very strong odor of alcohol and noted other signs of intoxication. The subject was confused with the simple questions the officers were asking.
Littlefield Fountain

Assist Outside Agency: A UT Police Officer discovered two UT students swimming inside the Littlefield Fountain. The officer soon discovered both students were intoxicated, but not to a point they were a danger to themselves or to others. As the investigation continued, the officers learned one student had four outstanding Outside Agency arrest warrants. She was taken into custody and transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 10-22-11, at 2:31 AM.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: UT staff members discovered a UT student inside a 2nd floor women’s restroom creating a Shamu sized, “Splash Zone.” The student was not responding to them. During the investigation, the officers located the subject and detected a very strong odor of alcohol and the wafting odor of vomit from several feet away. During the investigation, the student did not know where she was, her name, or date of birth. She repeated “3030” when asked questions by the officers.

Public Intoxication: A UT staff member discovered a non-UT subject passed out during the concert. During the investigation, the officers detected a very strong odor of alcohol on the subject’s breath. The officers were able to get the subject to wake up, but she had a difficult time talking to the officers. When asked to spell her name, the subject stated, “2-3-A.” Due to the subject’s intoxication level, she was transported to a local area hospital after being treated at the scene. Occurred on: 9-22-11, at 9:44 PM.

Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was reported passed out inside a second floor area. During the investigation, the officer located the subject and detected a very strong odor of alcohol on the subject’s breath from six feet away. Due to the officer’s training and experience, he was able to understand the subject’s mush mouthed dialect and incomplete sentence structure. The subject was taken into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 9-20-11, at 5:44 PM.

Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was discovered inside a restricted area. During the investigation, the subject informed the officer he was a current student enrolled as a Computer Science major. Once that information was proven false, the subject changed his story. The subject was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and was escorted from the area. Occurred on: 9-18-11, at 12:17 AM.

Harassment: A UT staff member reported receiving several harassing and threatening telephone calls from another UT staff member. During the investigation, the officers learned the suspect contacted the staff members work to see if she was there. Once the suspect confirmed the staff member was at work, then began a barrage of harassing telephone calls began. The officers soon learned the harassing telephone calls have been an on-going event since 2008. Reported on: 9-12-11.

Public Intoxication / Evading Arrest (2 Counts): A UT staff member reported discovering two partially clad subjects inside the 3rd floor women’s restroom. During the investigation, the officers located the subjects as they both entered into a stairwell in a vain attempt to leave the area. The subjects refused to stop when told to by the officers to do so. The subjects were located exiting the building and quickly walking, staggering and stumbling. As the investigation continued, the officers detected a very strong odor of alcohol on the breaths of both subjects.

When stopped, the student handed the flask to the officer and stated the flask contained whisky. The student was issued a summons for Possession of Alcohol by a Minor and was escorted from the stadium. Occurred on: 9-10-11, at 8:35 PM.

Criminal Mischief: A UT staff member discovered the control arm to the exit gate had been damaged. During the investigation, the officers reviewed the camera footage and observed a subject approach the gate in a grey Porshe. The subject exited the vehicle and forced the control arm up. The officers then observed the vehicle drive away. Repair costs: $200.00. Occurred on: 9-11-11, at 2:20 AM.

Criminal Mischief / Graffiti: A UT staff member discovered an unknown subject had thrown cups of yogurt onto the walls and into several of the stairwells throughout the dorm. Staff members also discovered words “I “heart” Whitis” written in lipstick on the walls as well. Estimated damage: Unknown at this time. Occurred on: 5-10-11, between 3:45 AM and 4:14 AM.
