ACL debuts 2010 line-up

How (un)excited should you be?

After teasing fans with mysterious ads in the Austin Chronicle and on billboards and posters around town, Austin City Limits officially released one of their most impressive line-ups in recent memory midnight Monday night.

While we're less than crazy about the headliners (The Eagles, Muse, and Phish) the rest of the acts more than make up for it. From the politcally minded hip hop of Justin Beiber-bashing M.I.A. to the whiskey-soaked sounds of Ryan Bingham & the Dead Horses, this festival has something for just about everybody. The only genre where it's a bit light is when it comes to rap and hip-hop. Outside of MIA and Slightly Stoopid, there simply ain't much else...that is, except for these guys.

Despite that particular complaint, acts like Devendra Banhart, Vampire Weekend, the Flaming Lips, LCD Soundsystem, Gogol Bordello, and Yeasayer definitely make that $80 a day seem well worth it (three-day passes have already sold out, unfortunately). But most importantly, who isn't dying to relive awkward middle school years as they gently sway and sing along to The Verve Pipe's "Freshman"?
