Theft / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia / Criminal Trespass Warning: The UT Police Department received information a non-UT subject had removed a mountain bicycle from the bike racks. During the investigation, the officers were able to locate the subject, still in possession of the bicycle, several blocks away. The subject was taken into custody for Theft. During a search of the subject, the officer discovered the subject was in possession of a glass tube that contained cocaine residue. The subject was transported to Central Booking.

The officer noted the student had used the lock to secure the front tire of her bicycle to the rack. The tire was still secured to the rack. Loss value: $250.00. Theft: The UT Police Department received information that a UT student had stolen a mountain bicycle from the bike racks located on the northeast side of the building. During the investigation, the officers located the student in the 2200 Block of Speedway. During the investigation, the student informed the officers he was on his way to swap the mountain bike with another bike he had on campus, but for some reason could not remember where the second bike was. The student was taken into custody for Theft and transported to Central Booking. Recovered value: $1,350.00.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: A non-UT subject discovered the passenger side window of her Nissan broken. During an inventory of her vehicle, the owner discovered her Garmin GPS had been taken. The officer learned the Garmin had been left in plain view attached to the windshield. Loss value: $50.00. Occurred on: 12-1-11, between 7:40 PM and 8:30 PM.
