Telephone / Evading Arrest / Criminal Trespass Warning: A UT student approached a UT staff member demanding to be let into a restricted area so he could see a friend. The staff member refused the student’s request since he did not live there. The student began showing off his wordsmithing abilities by using four letter words toward the staff member. After being told again he could not enter, the student struck the staff member. The staff member pulled out his cellular telephone to call 9-1-1 when he was attacked again by the student.

Assist Outside Agency: A UT student reported a non-UT subject was “hanging out” inside the men’s restroom. The student informed the officer the subject was making very strange noises inside one of the stalls. During the investigation, the officers located the subject as he was exiting the restroom. The subject became irate towards the officers. The officers soon discovered the subject had an outstanding Outside Agency arrest warrant and was taken into custody. The subject was transported to Central Booking and released to jail personnel.

Theft / Criminal Trespass: The UT Police Department received information a non-UT subject had removed a mountain bicycle from the bike racks located on the south side of the building. During the investigation, the officer located the bicycle as well as the suspect at the intersection of 5th Street and Red River. The subject was taken into custody for theft. As the investigation continued, the officers soon learned the subject had been given a prior Criminal Trespass Warning. The subject was transported to Central Booking. Additional charges for Criminal Trespass were filed.

Criminal Trespass: A UT staff member observed a non-UT subject that matched the description of a suspicious subject entering into the library. Officers located the subject as he re-entered the lobby. The officers located a very distinctive tattoo on the subject’s neck and confirmed he had been involved three separate incidents during the day. As the investigation continued the officers learned the subject had received several written Criminal Trespass Warnings for various locations on campus. The subject was taken into custody.

Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject approached staff members and students asking for used textbooks. During the investigation, the officers located the subject on the 5th floor. The subject claimed to be unemployed and was buying used textbooks to re-sell. The subject was issued a written Criminal Trespass Warning and was escorted from the area. Occurred on: 10-21-11, at 10:18 AM.

During the investigation, the officers located the subject inside an established campsite. The subject was issued a written Criminal Trespass Warning and was escorted from the area. Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject approached several US Government employees and became aggressive while asking them questions. Due to the subject’s aggressive behavior a US Department of State employee asked the subject to leave. The non-UT subject refused to leave. A UT Police Officer approached the subject and issued the subject a verbal Criminal Trespass Warning and informed the subject he needed to leave the area. Again the subject refused. The subject was taken into custody for Criminal Trespass and transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 9-28-11, at 8:00 PM.

Criminal Trespass Warning: A UT staff member reported two non-UT subjects were yelling obscenities to several students inside the library. During the investigation, the officers located the subjects on the plaza to the library. One subject approached the officers and stated, “I bet you are here for us.” As the investigation continued, the officers issued both subjects a written Criminal Trespass Warning and escorted them from the area. Occurred on: 9-18-11, at 2:43 PM.

Criminal Trespass: A UT staff member observed a non-UT subject scaling a 10 foot chain link fence. The subject then entered into a restricted area after clearing the fence. During the investigation, the officers located the subject and learned she had ingested several illegal drugs during the day. The subject went into and out of a lucid state and made several random comments towards the officers. The subject was taken into custody for Criminal Trespass and was transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 4-24-11, at 3:37 PM.

Criminal Trespass Warning: A UT staff member reported a non-UT subject was crying and asking for police assistance. Upon arrival, the officers observed one female subject attempting to force open a door while another female was trying to keep it closed. During the investigation, the officers learned one subject had been following the other for awhile. The officers learned the victim had entered campus because the UT Police respond quickly when requested. After the officers separated both subjects, they issued the suspect a written Criminal Trespass Warning and escorted her from campus.

A non-UT subject was discovered sleeping on the south side of the building. The subject informed the officers that he was waiting to get a meal and did not know he was on campus. The subject was issued a written Criminal Trespass Warning and was escorted from the area.

During the investigation, the officers located the subject and the subject informed the officers that he was a Pharmacy freshman and was taking classes inside UTC. When asked what classes he was taking, he could not remember. When asked where the Pharmacy school was located, the subject did not point in right direction. The subject was issued a written Criminal Trespass Warning and was escorted from campus. Occurred on: 4-19-11, at 11:04 AM.

Submitted by admin on Fri, 2011-04-15 14:31Suspicious Person: A UT staff and faculty member reported an unknown subject was observed walking through the building, walking into and out of several studios. When they stopped the subject to ask if he needed any help, the subject asked for directions to the bathroom. The unknown subject then asked for any spare change and a cigarette. Officers searched the area with negative results. The unknown subject was described as: Black male, 5�-10�, thin build and an Afro hairstyle. The subject was last seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, purple vest and blue jeans.
